Commonly referred to in the trade as VC-10 their native habitat is the deeper waters of Lake Malawi. They can be kept with other Africans who are not extremely aggressive. Milomo can be kept in smaller aquaria but will need about 100 gallons when it reaches adulthood since they can obtain 8-12” in length. The water should be kept at 75 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit and a pH of 7 to 8. They will accept a wide range of foods but meatier foods are the preferred choice. |
